Sorry for the lack of updates. Wedding planning has really stalled this month :( Here's a quick update on stuff...
Flowers -- We didn't get to meet with the flower lady last Saturday because we went to the tulip festival in Skagit instead. The meeting has been rescheduled to this Saturday.
Catering -- Meeting with Sugar Mountain Catering on May 14 and The Metropolitan Hotel (Diva) on May 15.
The "tiny crisis" with the guest list -- Our current tentative solution for that is to hold another mini reception at a Chinese restaurant the next day. This reception will be mainly for our parents' friends who would enjoy Chinese food more anyway.
Dress -- I may be going dress shopping with my future mom and sis-in-laws next Saturday!
So the wedding is 13 months from today. It seems like a lot of time but I'm very much aware of how quickly time flies >_< Anyway, I'm eager to do more wedding planning. I wasn't too thrilled that the planning stalled, but it's all good. A new month is upon us! Expect more updates in May :)

End of Month Number Two
As you may have noticed, not too many activity here on the blog. That's because there haven't been a lot of progress with the wedding stuff. Here's a summary of month two events:
I just scheduled a meeting with the flower lady on Saturday, April 25. The flower lady I am talking about is the manager of Proline Trading. She was recommended by a couple of my co-workers. Hopefully that meeting will go well.
In my head, I'm sort of doubting my list of priorities. Should I figure décor out first before I do flowers? Maybe I should iron out the details of the guest list first since the number of guests dictates the number of tables we'll need and, hence, influence how many centerpieces we'll need. I guess this is when a decorator would come in handy. Speaking of guest lists, there's a minute possibility that we'll have a tiny crisis in our hands. Why? There may be more guests than anticipated from someone's side of the family. I won't mention whose. We're kind of hoping that we can just have another reception on Sunday. But that's currently to be determined.
I hope month number three will be better than month number two! :)

Videographer Revealed!
Today we met with the videographer that we've chosen, signed the contract, and paid the deposit. The company we have chosen is... Realistically Fictional (RF) Productions! D and I look forward to working with Desy of RF and his team :)
On the other hand, it was tough for me to write a form of "Dear John" email to Laura of Laura Ann Cinema. We had a great meeting with her! Like Lynn, Laura was super nice. Her work is also very nice! In fact, I was moved to tears while watching one of her films. (D nearly teared up as well :P) However, at the end of the day, having splurged so much on photographer, we just didn't have that much spending room on video.
As for catering, we haven't made that much progress on that lately. D and I should really get on that, just to keep things moving. We've received some delicious looking sample menus from both the Metropolitan Hotel and Sugar Mountain Catering. I think we'll probably try to set up a meeting with the caterers during the weekend of April 18th.
As previously mentioned, with videography done, I'm going to look into flowers and decorations. Someone had referred us to check out Susana Wedding Center at Yaohan. They're one of those wedding companies that offer pretty much all wedding related things. We briefly met with the owner on Tuesday since we were at Yaohan anyway. She seemed very nice and their packages seem very reasonable. They've even done a wedding at the UBC Boathouse already! I'll definitely keep them in mind when tackling my flower + décor challenge.
